Baby's Travels, 2019
In 2019 my dog Baby passed away very tragically. She was literally a sister and best friend to me and I miss her so much. I created 5 postcards about Baby, as if she were on this trip from Vermont to Colorado, a dream I wish actually happened.
I found out about Baby when I was driving from Oklahoma to Kansas and I was driving around a roundabout for like 10 minutes trying to figure out where a pull off while talking to my dad and being super confused and upset and everything that comes with shock and fucking terrible news.
Doing these postcards hasn’t only helped me think about baby, but it’s shown me just how much I love drawing, a part of me I questioned after my intense undergrad senior year in 2018. She brought back my passion and I was able to bring her on adventures I wish we could have done before. I love you little big Baby.
